What are 启动 leaders (JSL)?

JSLs are student ambassadors during freshmen orientation. They play an important role in welcoming first-year students to our campus. 启动 Leaders:

• Work with a group of 15-25 first-year students during the week of 启动 (9/23-9/27)
• Facilitate group activities
• Lead out with ice breakers and/or team building activities
• Provide tours of campus
• Answer questions about campus and college life
• Help take attendance at both general and breakout sessions
• Check-in students at the cafeteria
• Help incoming students connect with faculty, staff, and current students
• Become a peer leader
• Share your knowledge and experience of WWU
• Share your survival tactics
